My intruigue for health begun back in my teenage years. There wasnt anything in particular that was a reson for it, I just found the body and mind very interesting.

My intruigue for health begun back in my teenage years. There wasnt anything in particular that was a reson for it, I just found the body and mind very interesting.
I always loved health food stores, essential oils, crystals, natural beauty products, lentils, supplements, yoga, cooking, juicing, hugging tress, self help books and nutrition books!!
So, even all those years ago I was interested in the body as whole.
Fast forward about 30 years and many jobs later I decided to take my passion for the body and actually turn it into a career.
So, I enrolled on a health coaching course. I was taught so much about the body and how to listen to its needs. The various modalities available to us are fascinating and inspirational. If we wish to heal the whole self we can connect conciously to our spiritual needs, we can delve into psychology, we can improve our nutrition and we can find our true health and happiness if we balance our lives in a mindful way. I can honestly say I loved every minute of my learning experience.
But, somehow this just felt like the beginning and I knew there was more out there for me to explore and I was hungry for more information.
So, next I enrolled on a more in depth course that taught me the physiological workings of the body. Why we work the way we work and what to do about it if things go wrong?....how do we get the body back on track and back in to balance so to speak!? This was how I became a qualified nutritional therapist. This too was amazing but my curiosity still wasnt quite fullfilled. As much as I had learnt so far I realised I hadnt learnt enough about the brain! Pretty cruicial when it comes to us people being 'who we are, and why we are how we are!' So, I enrolled on my third course.
Here I learnt all about the brain and how the health of our brain determines why and how we act the way we do. Again this was all truly fasinating stuff and finally I felt I had enough knowledge under my belt to take all I had learnt and throw it all into the mixing pot so it can be used to help people gain health and happiness.
I love people and want to help them feel the best they can. It doesn't really matter what it is...if your not feeling great but your not sure what or why I will help you try to figure out how to get back on track.
Ahh, I nearly forgot to tell you why I'm called Vital Force Health Coaching! That's because we all possess a vital force within us and if you feel you have lost yours...I'll help you find it again!!
Our nervous system is crucial for our wellbeing. A healthy functioning nervous system determines how we live our lives = it constantly scans our external environment and our internal status and then acts accordingly. If we're living a stressful life (who isnt!) its a good idea to pay attention to looking after your nervous system.

The nervous system talks to every part of our body and every part of our body talks back to the nervous system.
Then we have our brain! How happy is our brain? Our brain is pretty paramount to our health and happiness and most of us forget to even consider our brains! Its just there doing what it does and we assume and take for granted that its there and works!! But, there is lots we can do to help our brains for the now and for our future.
Then we have the gastrointestinal tract! Whats happening here is another crucial part to health. Whether you feel bloated, have acid reflux, have bad skin, dont go to the toilet / or go too much!!! then there is a chance you may need some help with your gut.
Then there is our body in its entirety. This includes spirituality, our purpose, our happiness, our thoughts, our daily coming and goings, what we eat or dont eat, what we drink etc all paly a part in how we feel.
This is why I don't like to say I specialise in any one thing. The body is a hive of activity 24/7. There is no time off for the body..ever! We are so connected that inside the body we look like a giant 'dot to dot'!
For example, if you come to me with migraine's, yes i'll be thinking about your head but i'll also be interested in your gut and your nervous system, what you eat, what you do on a daily basis and what you breathe!!! Literally everything is connected inside the body...its totally fascinating and interesting for you to see you body through a different lense. Once we look into your body (not literally of course!!) and all that goes on inside it you get a new found respect for this fabulous body we have.
I belive when it comes to health we should be considering all the different elements that make up a 'happy you' :)

A. Well its one of the easiest and most practicle ways to give yourself a one minute foot massage twice a day! Every morning and every night when I brush my teeth I stand on this mat and tred on it for as long as it takes to brush my teeth...simple!
